2018 Show Season
So March 2018 brought the BAS National Show, we had visited for year supporting the show, wishing and dreaming…. This year we were showing our own Alpacas. Lythe Brow Aloka was first in the ring and received a 4th in a very competitive Black line up. Our Awesome Boy Fowberry Cossack achieved 3rd in intermediate light Male Class and our Young lad Lythe Brow Alchemist made us very proud getting 2nd Junior Fawn Male. The weekend was truly a family affair, we are so proud of Sam and Tom. They both won Champion Junior Handler in their respective age groups, all that halter training and talking Alpacas over the dinner table has paid off.
Early April we headed to Carlisle for NWAG show where Alchemists potential was realised taking 1st Junior Fawn Male and Reserve Champion. We were particularly happy with the judges commenting on a very well grown boy on a correct frame, extremely well nourished fleece, excellent brightness with fabulous density and uniformity of fineness and colour throughout his fleece.
Next was our local County Show (Westmorland) where Alchemist was awarded first intermediate fawn Male and Champion fawn male , with Little Eskrigg Rembrandt second place, Artisan first place Multi, and Aloka 3rd Intermediate Black Female. Our final show of the season was Yorkshire Alpaca Group show Were our Boy Alchemist won Supreme Champion, We have like this boy since birth , he came out with tight curls and has developed into a big strong boy with a beautiful fleece , that is both fine and dense with bags of character that literally gleamed today.
